Documentary will show John Lennon and Yoko Ono as hosts of The Mike Douglas Show in 1972
A new documentary about Yoko Ono It is John Lennon it was announced. Called Daytime Revolution,the film will show the couple at the head of the North American talk show The Mike Douglas Show for a week in 1972.
Among the interviewees of the five programs, the duo personally invited the president of the Black Panthers, Bobby Seale, the political activist Ralph Nader and the comedian George Carlin for interviews. At the time, the Talk Show was one of the most popular shows on American television. As hosts, Lennon and Ono tackled controversial topics including women’s empowerment, the deterioration of the environment and police violence (via Variety).
Directed by Erik Nelsonthe documentary is ready and looking for a distributor.
