J-Hope may be the next BTS member to complete mandatory military enlistment
j-hopeof BTS, started procedure to enlist in the army of South Korea. The singer had filed a request to postpone the fulfillment of the mandatory service, but ended the process, according to the big hitagency of the group.
In a note sent to fans (via NME), the company stated, “We would like to inform fans that j-hope initiated the military enlistment process by requesting the filing of his action to postpone entry into the army.”
“We ask that you continue your continued love and support until j-hope complete your military service and return safely. Our company will spare no efforts to provide support to our artist,” completes the note.
He will be the second member of the BTS to enlist. Jinaged 30, was the first in December 2022. The idol had the support of fans, who went to the door of the training camp to say goodbye.
The service is expected to last 18 months. The first five weeks will be dedicated to basic training, where you will learn how to handle weapons, grenades and other procedures. After that period, Jin will be sent to another army unit in the country.
The age for enlistment in the country is 28 years old, however, a legal measure extended the period for members of the BTSwho can start the service up to 30, j-hope turned 29 on February 18th.
