Noel Gallagher misspelled Sam Smith’s pronoun, calling pop artists ‘shitholes’

Noel Gallagher, formerly of Oasis, stated that “pop music is only ok if the artists are nice”.

Noel Gallagher used an inappropriate pronoun to refer to Sam Smith in addition to offending the artist in an interview with Dutch radio Kink (via NME). In 2019, Smith revealed that he identifies as a non-binary person and started to use they/them (elu/delu) as pronouns.

“We have two sides: my personal life and my public life. Personally, there are no negative points. My family can communicate with me, they always have, but now in an even better way. My love life has improved – I feel lovable, comfortable on my skin. I wear whatever I want to wear,” he explained.

“I think the only pain points and struggles I faced were in my public life and at work. The amount of hate and shit that came my way, it was just exhausting. It was really hard,” he added. sam.
