In a bold and totally new project in Brazil, the duo Fernando and Sorocaba recorded last Saturday (4), another DVD titled This is a burning barbecue, a totally different show, with a gastronomic twist, which has been touring Brazil for months with great success. Project registration took place in Moghi Miriminside St. Paulwith sold out tickets.
Always oozing style and personality in the clothes they wear to the fashion shows, what few people know is that Fernando and Sorocaba they are concerned about avoiding waste and are supporters of so-called sustainable fashion, in which everything is reused and recycled on top of already existing pieces.
The person responsible for the duo’s costumes is Rosa Motta, fashion designer who has been working with artists for over six years and is always innovating with trends and novelties that fully satisfy the singers. For the This is a burning barbecue, Roze has favored even more the reuse of materials and the result has been surprising. Also, some pieces are created through artificial intelligence which is so trending in different industries lately.
“The costumes were made manually, in an artisanal way. All the pieces were customized. We started this work about two months ago, and I used a lot of scrap leather, scrap jackets, for example, stuff that the factory scrapped.”explains Motta. “We customize the looks with these pieces of leather. Reusing as much as possible pieces that would go to waste, and creating new and exclusive ones”explains rosewhich insists on underlining the partnership with the factory boar skinsfrom the city of tapejara (LOL).
“I created the pieces and sent them over there. Javali is already a partner of ours, so they helped us a lot in this process of the manual thing, of building everything with pieces and scraps of leather. One of the big look challenges for this show was just this do it remotely, then the pieces arrived here to be tested and we were able to make the adjustments, the only request from Fernando and Sorocaba, from the beginning, was that they were exclusive pieces, but with an emphasis on recycling “emphasizes the costume designer.
Responding to the request, one of the costumes used by Ferdinand in the DVD recording it was a pair of jeans that he had already worn several times, but rose he gave it a total restyling with scraps of leather, transforming it into a new, modern and elegant piece.
“Another thing he used was a vest made from belt bits. The looks on this recording were things that had already been used, and we reinvented and created something new. The duo likes recyclable fashion, reuse, transforming old things into something new instead of buying a ready-made piece”, details Rosa Motta.
“We spoke to Roze, who is a friend of mine and has been working with us for years, about the costumes. For this production, we tried to show even more of our identity, musicality and strength of the agro through each look”account Fernando Zor.
Experience with Artificial Intelligence
In this work, a great novelty used by rosetogether with Sorocaba, it was called Artificial intelligencethrough the bell GPT Chatsto create two songs that the singer uses in the performance. “It’s really cool, I used it to make one of Sorocaba’s looks. It has two pieces that we created from a virtual avatar and recreated in reality. It’s a shirt and a jacket,” says the stylist.
“On stage I wear the hat and I really like the shirts, T-shirts and boots. We have been collaborating with Roze for years, and for this DVD she was even more precise.
