Paramore includes all the hits and “forbidden” music from the Brazilian tour that starts today

Banda performs in Rio and SP; There are still tickets for an extra show in São Paulo

Paramore start this Thursday 9, their fifth tour in Brazil. The round is promoted by the group’s new album, released this year, “This is Why”, after a hiatus from activities in 2018.

The first show will be in Rio de Janeiro, this Thursday. Next, they play two shows in São Paulo, Saturday and Sunday: Sunday’s was included after tickets for Saturday’s show sold out in just over an hour.

Given the absence of Brazilian stages for almost nine years, the group has not skimped on inserting hits in the lineup. “Still Into You,” “That’s What You Get,” “Hard Times,” and “Decode” (from the soundtrack to the movie “Twilight”) will be performed during shows here.

And again: the group also included a song that had been scratched from the repertoire, “Misery Business”, because in a 2007 excerpt of the song, vocalist Hayley Williams refers to the protagonist of the lyrics as “bitch” (“whore”, in English).

“Once a whore, you’re nothing more/ I’m sorry, that’ll never change” is the sexist part of the lyrics that had removed the song from the band’s playlists.

Passing through Peru (Lima), Chile (Santiago) and Argentina (Buenos Aires), “Misery Business” was present in all presentations and should be part of the Brazilian shows, as well as the other 19 that played in the three countries before arrival in Brazil.
