José Henrique Campos Pereira, the Canisusbassist who helped found the Raimundos, one of the country’s leading rock bands in the 1990s, died this Monday morning. The information was confirmed by the entrepreneur and the family on the artist’s social networks. The cause of death has not yet been disclosed. “He had an accident at home due to a faint and couldn’t resist, but I don’t know more,” said Digão, a former teammate.
Canisso had an accident at home and was taken to hospital shortly after, but couldn’t resist. On his official page it is written that he “suffered a fall due to fainting”. Two hours after the first post, a new message announced his death. “Canisso passed away at 11:30 on 03/13/2023? on Saturday 11. “Thank you, Faísca. Great night in the best house in western SC. Tortuga Raaarr,” he wrote.
Canisso was born on December 9, 1967. As the original bassist of the band Raimundos, he recorded the group’s main albums together with Digão and Rodolfo. In 2002, with the breakup of the band, he left Raimundos and went to play with Rodolfo at the Rodox. In 2007 he returned to the band and toured with Digão.
