Compensation could reach R$ 215 million after Bad Bunny used a sample with his ex-girlfriend’s voice
Bad Bunny (stage name of Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio) is being sued by his ex-girlfriend for using an unauthorized sample of her voice on two tracks. As reported by billboardaction brought by Carliz De La Cruz Hernandez claims US$ 40 million in compensation, around R$ 215 million.

Also according to the lawsuit, the use of his recording constitutes a violation of moral rights, according to the law of Puerto Rico. hernandez claims that his right to his own image was also violated, as the use of the sample exploits his identity.
