According to Philip Selway, Radiohead drummer, members should refocus on the band

In an interview with Prog Magazinethe drummer stated: “We are always talking about things. But, in terms of a collective project, in addition to the versions of Kid A It is amnesiac that we did in 2021, we are not sure when it will happen. We’re talking, but each is focused on their own projects.”
“We plan to spend a year out of radiohead so that we can move forward with other things during the pandemic. But those other projects have grown, so we’ve given them time to evolve as they should. But yeah, we’ll get together soon, and in the next couple of years, there’s going to be something new, of some sort.”
In January 2023, selway had already given clues about the return of the radioheadwith mention of the disk Hail To The Thiefwhich completes 20 years: “Let’s get together at the beginning of [2023] and I’m sure we’ll start looking at other ideas for what’s next. Hail To The Thief – it’s been a long time since that record, hasn’t it?”
