Singer was diagnosed with ganglionic tuberculosis twice
Singer Simaria has experienced drama in the past ten years and has twice faced ganglionic tuberculosis, an infectious disease that attacks the defense organs located in different parts of the body. Illness forced the sertaneja off stage for months in 2018.
Five years after her diagnosis, Simaria revealed in an interview with Quem magazine that she lives on alert because of the disease. “When I had tuberculosis, in 2018, I moved to São Paulo, because my health needed a good hospital, I was in a very, very difficult situation. I had two tuberculosis in the ganglion. And tuberculosis in the ganglion can become systemic. If my immunity drops, if I don’t eat, if I sleep at the wrong time, all this implies that my immunity drops and it can come back,” he revealed.

Simaria spent years in a hectic routine, with a concert schedule reaching more than 30 presentations a month. She believes the disease was caused by overwork, which often prevents the artist from eating well and getting regular checkups.
“It was crazy. Today, when I look back, I’m like, ‘How could I do that and my sister and all the other artists who are still doing this madness of 30 and then shows a month? How can they do that? the body, with the soul, with everything”, reflects Simaria.
