The mother’s body LeonardoDona Carmem, was buried this Sunday morning (02), in the presence of friends and family in the cemetery of Jardim das Palmeiras, in Goiânia. The matriarch of the Costa family has passed away at the age of 85.
Visibly shaken, Leonardo attended the vigil with his wife, Poliana Rocha. Dona Carmel’s nephew, Ze Philip frequented with Virginia Fonseca. The young couple did not hide their emotion at the farewell. Peter Leonard, eldest son of the country singerhe also paid his last respects to his grandmother.
Dona Carmelm’s body was buried shortly after 11:00. The matriarch was buried in the same tomb as her son Leandro and her husband Avelino Virgulino, who died in 2015.
In the interview with the press after the burial, the family highlighted Dona Carmelm’s struggle for social causes, especially in initiatives related to the cancer, the disease that took the life of his son Leandro. “She was always firm in the faith. Losing a child at 36 is not easy. We hope to continue the work you left off“said Carlos Costa, one of Leonardo’s brothers, in an interview with G1.
