On social media, Jay Weinberg showed all his love for Japan and explained the meaning of the new mask
Jay Weinbergdrummer of Slipknotan iconic American metal band, unveiled a new mask during a performance at Knotfest Japana festival that also has a Brazilian version.
It is worth remembering how the other members of the group are also known for wearing characteristic masks, which are quite successful among fans. weinberg confirmed how the new accessory was developed especially for the appearance in Knotfest Japan and was developed in collaboration with Solid BlacklineJapanese artist.
“It is an honor to collaborate with the Japanese painter @solid_blackline for my mask this weekend, specially designed for @knotfestjapan. The organic and fluid forms of his high-contrast designs evoke feelings of mysticism and beauty, balanced in the duality of chaos and order that one feels as a visitor to this wonderful country,” wrote the drummer on social media.
“Really, there’s no better way to delve even deeper into all that the @knotfestjapan represents – sharing our love for Japan and its rich artistic culture – than welcoming local talent through collaborating with our own expression in this weekend’s performances,” continued Jay Weinberg.
