In 2022, the festival welcomed around 25,000 people to Salvador; see ticket prices
Tickets for Afropunk Bahia it went on sale this Monday the 10th, seven months before the event. The party, scheduled for November 18 and 19, in Salvador, is back for its third edition, giving the web something to talk about. On social media, the audience was surprised by the early start of sales and the increased value of tickets compared to last year.
The changes have sparked controversy and speculation: “I think Afropunk should usher in a major international draw this year,” wrote one Internet user. Whether or not external names arrive, a part of the public has already gone ahead and decided to buy tickets in the dark.

The criticisms have also generated responses from fans who think the fees charged are fair.

In 2022, Afropunk Bahia welcomed around 25,000 people to Salvador’s Parque de Exposições. Also this year the choice of location has remained the same, and the park will once again host the Agô and Gira stages, starring names such as Ludmilla, Masego, Emicida, Liniker, Margareth Menezes, Karol Conká in its first year.
The public will have two entry options: the Arena, which gives access to the festival and the entire musical program of the event; and the Lounge, which gives access to an extra space with a relaxation area, expanded services and more comfort. There is also the possibility of purchasing a passport for the two days of the event, in addition to the well-known “Social Ticket” method – accessible to all, with a reduced price and contributing to initiatives that encourage the construction of new opportunities for black people. Sales take place through the platform Symplain addition to the physical points in Salvador.
