Celine Dion releases new music for the first time since revealing she has a rare disease


‘Love Again’ will be released on May 12, together with the film of the same name; listen the song

AFP – The pop diva Celine Dion announced, this Thursday 13, the release of new songs, the first since the Canadian singer announced, in December, that she suffers from a rare neurological condition.

The new album, Love again, is the soundtrack to a film of the same name and contains five new songs, as well as previous hits. It will be released on May 12, along with the film opening in Canadian theaters.

The Grammy Award-winning star from Quebec also stars in this romantic comedy directed by Jim Strouse.

“I think it’s a wonderful feel-good story, and I hope people like it, and I hope people like the new music too,” Dion said in a statement.

It is the 55-year-old artist’s first album since Couragesince 2019.

In December 2022, Dion posted an Instagram video in which she revealed that she had been diagnosed with a neurological disorder known as stiff person syndrome. She then explained that she is not ready to start a European tour scheduled for February this year.

According to her the disease, characterized by a progressive stiffening of the muscles, caused her difficulties in walking and in the use of the vocal cords.

OR Courage World Tour started in 2019 but interrupted by the covid-19 pandemic. Subsequently, Dion canceled the North American leg of the tour due to health concerns.
