Members of radiohead watched Bruna Surfistinha (2011) even before the official release and they liked the Brazilian film. The feature film directed by Marcus Baldini counts with the music “Fake Plastic Trees,” by the British group, on the soundtrack.
To allow the track to be included in the production, radiohead asked to watch the movie. baldinithen took a copy with English subtitles to London and handed it to the band’s team, as reported to G1 in an article published in 2011.
radiohead expressed concern about the content of Bruna Surfistinha. The film is based on the true story of Raquel Pacheco, who ran away from her parents’ house and became a prostitute. She is played by Deborah Secco.
“I and the Rodrigo Letier, who is the producer, we took a DVD for the manager and manager to show to the band, who directly control everything related to them.
