The production company invests BRL 1 million in setting up an audiovisual entertainment department

the producer Broders has new plans for its six-year relationship with film and entertainment. In 2023, in addition to the production company launching the music documentary by Elza Soaresregistered in Municipal Theater of São Paulo days before his death, and with unpublished testimonies of Chico Buarque, Paulo Gustavo, Caetano Veloso, Carlinhos Brown, Rita Lee, Maria da Penha, Alcione AND George Aragonthe company plans to invest more than 1 million reais in the creation of a department focused on the development of totally authorial and original audiovisual projects.

Following this premise, the area with was born four documentariestwo series AND two long – AND five fictionstwo seriestwo feature films and one short.

But, as a concept, it is also aware of other formats, such as music videos, videocasts and, above all, immersive projects in VR AND branded content. The latter take place thanks to a synergy with other areas of Broders who have already done VR projects and also commercials for brands such as Disney, Samsung, Ford AND MasterCard.

“As a market differentiator, in addition to our ability to produce integrated projects with the know-how of other Broders centers, such as VR and branded content, we want to bring a very expressive and unique aspect to cultural curation. Umbilical relationship with music this is directly reflected in the entertainment projects: we made a talk show for Amazon with the actor and musician Serjão Loroza, the latest project of Elza Soares, which was the event of my life, and now our first feature film fiction that has a pianist as the protagonist. This spirit goes on the screens and goes backstage: it’s not enough to have a super close-knit and qualified team, you have to experience the processes as if we were the audience”push forward Cassio Cordeirodirector and co-founder of Broders.

Among the nine projects already in development, a big bet is the feature Rbowl, with the story of a pianist who, at the end of his life, seeks a reconnection with his son. Besides him, the documentary series Ancestral cuisine deepens and decolonizes the vision of the gastronomy of the ancestral peoples of Brazil.

“The direction of audiovisual projects that have an anti-racist character, defending, in some way, aspects of racial inclusion has always been a vocation for me. I owe this human reconstruction to my great brothers Sérgio Loroza, Claudio Jorge, Mombaça, Zé Ricardo and most recently Jonathan Ferr and my eternal queen Elza. In this new artistic nucleus, I hope to have these brothers and other friends who create, script and direct their projects with us, at the production company”push forward Lamb.
