Now, the film which will be released on the day that marks the six years since his departure, is a tribute that bears a self-portrait in which images are revisited from a vast collection of the legendary artist published throughout his career.
Belchiorreborn in the city of sobralto the State of Ceara, talks about its origin, the difficulties of the people of the north-east and its musical training. The documentary also portrays the main influences on his work, which ranged from the songs of king of Baiao, Louis GonzagaIn Jackson plays the tambourine and the movement of Tropicalia to the British rock band Beatles. Some songs tell curiosities about his music, his art and his peculiar way of seeing his life and work.

For Camillo Cavalcanti, producer and co-director of the film alongside Natalia Diasthe creative process of the documentary started when Belchior was still alive: “The idea of the documentary was essentially born from my and Natalia’s passion for Belchior’s work and for the construction of his texts, in a very artisanal way. We have been immersed in this process since 2016, when the singer was still alive, and we had the desire to meet again with him. The idea was to reach the artist by demonstrating that there were many people who recognized the genius of his work. When Belchior passed away in 2017, we had great success. The project and the research had already started and we felt an even greater responsibility, we had to tell that story even more to the public.”He explained.
According to its creators, Belchior – Just a wild heartis a great opportunity for those who knew little about the true essence of the late singer-songwriter.
“Audiences can expect to discover Belchior. This is a film in the first person where he tells his story and where we are faced with a genius, a rawness in how he approached his career, with the questions he received, with the relationship with the public, with the press, with success, with the decisions he has taken.
