‘Bring Me To Life’ Rap Was ‘Hard To Swallow,’ Says Amy Lee

Amy Lee commented what he thinks about rap from “Bring Me To Life,” track of Evanescence. According to the vocalist, the passage sung by Paul McCoy it was included against the band’s initial wishes, after insistence from the record company.

“I stopped playing the song a long time ago. When we were on tour and we found someone who fit the spot, that person would appear on the track. We’ve been on tour with PODIt is Sonny [Sandoval, vocalista] went up to sing a few times. Obviously, if we were in the same place as Paul McCoy, he would go on stage to sing. It was fun, cool and nostalgic,” he explained about the track’s absence from the setlist in an interview with metal hammer.

Despite the nostalgia, Amy admitted: “That part is not my style. That’s why it was so hard to swallow, even if it was just one song. But we won in the end, we didn’t have to change our sound completely.”
