In her six-decade career, Rita Lee was a phenomenon for two years, 79-81, and a popular success for another four or five. A little later, in 1991, you had already parodied yourself on MTV. The new sound was composed and profitable bossa nova versions of their hits. She was 43 years old.
From there he moved on to DVD “AcĂşstico”, compilations of slot machines, bossa versions of the Beatles and, officially, character. It was the long phase of the “crazy aunt”, then of the grandmother.
It’s hard not to love dear, harmless mature Rita. It’s easy to forget at this stage the immature Rita, who rubbed a new kind of woman in the face of Brazil – and in three different decades.
