After releasing the pop album – (Subtract), Ed Sheeran wants to venture into another genre
Ed Sheeran just released their latest album in a troubled week. Beyond the debut of the album – (Subtract)the musician went to court in New York (United States) and proved to be innocent after being accused of plagiarizing the success of Marvin Gaye.
Sheeran, now thinks about the next projects. Carrying folk influences, albeit diluted, since his debut, he plans to venture into country in the not-too-distant future. “I love the culture of the genre, I love the composition. They are brilliant songs,” he said about the musical style in an interview with billboard (via NME).
Having lived in Nashville, Texas between 2013 and 2018, Ed revealed that he was influenced by some artists from the region – one of the symbols of country.
“It’s like a community; there’s no place in Europe where you can say, ‘This is the home of this kind of songwriting.’ Not just for country music, Nashville is a place of incredible songwriters and singers.”
