The band imagine Dragons release this Friday (12th) a fascinating real life short film for their new single, crushedto support the Ukrainian relief efforts led by UNITED24an organization founded by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The track is now available on digital platforms through Universal Music, via Interscope records.
crusheddirected by Ti Arnoldtells the true story of a 14-year-old boy named Alexander. Russian forces occupied their village for five months before Ukrainian fighters finally liberated it. However, the conflict has left their home, school and neighborhood in ruins. He survived the bombings only by taking refuge in an underground shelter.
The audiovisual production details his incredible story of perseverance as he walks through the rubble. And it ends with a photo of the boy with the words: “And like so many others, Olexandr and his family are hoping to rebuild their home. They’re still here.”
The video was premiered during the summit of UNITED24In Kievin the day May 5th.
