Billy Corganvocalist and leader of Smashing Pumpkinsstated that it helped the U2 during the production of All That You Can’t Leave Behind (2000). In an interview with Zane Lowe for the Apple Music 1 (via NME), the musician revealed a conversation he had with bono.

“So I was in Dublin in 2000 and I visited bono at his home,” corgan remembered. “We were up all night, and in the morning, for some reason, we were both the last ones up, and he said, ‘I want to play you something. We need to go out to the car, because I don’t want to wake up the whole house.’

The vocalist of U2 showed some demos of the disc and would have asked for the “honest” opinion of Billy: “I said, ‘Do you really want me to give you my opinion?’ And I told him what I thought. They really used my advice! He told me later, ‘Hey, we used your advice.'”
