blur meeting
In an interview with Apple Music 1, presenter Matt Wilkinson remembered damonAlbarn that when the other members of the blur (Dave Rowntree, graham coxon, Alex James) were asked about the meeting, they had the same answer: “If the time is right” and “if we don’t hate each other.”
“It’s not a big deal. It’s a real joy when we do that. And obviously the reason I’m talking to you here is because of these other three musicians,” stated the vocalist. “It was a big part of my life and their lives. So we all cherish those memories, but we don’t want to ruin them.”
In addition to Albarnthe drummer Dave Rowntreein an interview with Sky News, described the meeting as a “bucket list” dream. “It’s incredibly difficult to come up with something like that, you know, the technical resources, the crew, the places to play. All those things are very, very scarce,” he explained. “It’s very difficult to refuse something like that.”
