Fans learn of Tina Turner’s death while visiting the exhibit; MIS will strengthen programming


At the end of this Wednesday afternoon, visitors to the exhibition spoke with Estadão about the importance of the singer

On singer Tina Turner’s death day, fans of the singer attending the Tina Turner: A trip to the future exhibit at MIS took the opportunity to celebrate the artist’s life who passed away at the age of 83.

One of them is the epidemiologist Alessandra C. Goulart, 51, who recalls the strength of the singer and her impact in the fight for women’s rights. “She was a woman who broke down barriers for women to start working, as well as having a beautiful voice, which broke generations,” she says.

The doctor says she admires how the exhibit records show that Tina was a multifaceted person. “Her photos of her, from housekeeping to concert images, are extraordinary. She herself said that she was not just fighting for herself, but for all women,” she points out.

According to Lia, MIS was already thinking about a program with film screenings and musical performances by the singer. The calendar, which gains momentum after the singer’s death, should be released shortly.
