Hayley Williams apologizes after kicking fans out of Paramore concert

During the show Paramore done in madison square garden on May 30, 2023, singer and bandleader, hayley williams, went viral with a video in which she expelled two fans from the presentation. Now, the artist has apologized for the controversy.

According to reports, these two expelled fans were fighting each other – and that was the reason Williams kick them out. In a lengthy statement, the singer expressed how sorry she is “for any embarrassment or embarrassment I may have caused you.” Watch the controversial video below:

In the apology, the singer explained how she is not “really proud” of how it all turned out, and explained a feeling of “belonging” when she joined the band. “It makes a lot of sense now because I found my way into the kind of music that is all about community. Joining a band was the best thing that ever happened to me. I suppose the same is true for me today,” he wrote. she.

“Without the opportunity to properly come and go (and with an impending and strict curfew in the back of my mind), I bared my teeth like a wolf. I embarrassed both of these people, not really knowing what the situation was. So how one group – all of us, about 25,000 – we expelled these people from the show in record time,” continued hayley williams.

I haven’t been able to shake the feeling that I’ve abused my responsibility and my platform in that moment, and that I’ve hurt those two in a way that will outlast the momentary discomfort of au-show behavior.

I think it’s a worthy cause to set firm boundaries for how we want the environment at our shows to be. Perhaps, those two couldn’t have it any other way. But we must all try to imagine being ridiculed and thrown out of a concert in front of tens of thousands of people. When I saw their faces in the video, I didn’t see the smug smiles that some commentators criticized them for. I saw embarrassment and cried for them. I’m telling you, I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

I’m sorry that I handled the whole situation as the arbiter of the same type of cancel culture that usually doesn’t teach or lead in a productive way.

Has anyone really learned from the kind of public shaming I gave the 2 I kicked out of the show that night? I don’t know, but I don’t think so. And that really gives me a lot to think about in terms of our culture as a whole.

If you’re coming to a show on this tour, I’m practically on my knees typing, begging you to be open to the idea that all the people at your show need this as much as you do.

I don’t want us to have to stop a show for physical assault ever again. Don’t worry, I’ll still have someone removed if necessary. I’ll try with all my heart not to make it look like a biblical-era public execution next time.
