“The fact that people are accusing me of false things is so sad… They might not even be saying those things, because it doesn’t make any sense to me that they would say that. (…) And it makes me sad because I I try so hard to make things right for you and it’s never good enough. So for you to go behind my back and talk about me… it breaks my heart and the news is too low.”
She even wrote that she hopes it’s just fake news and that neither Kevin nor Sean Preston said anything after all.
Britney Spears’ lawyer, Matthew Rosengartalso commented on reports that the singer would be using methamphetamine:
“The Daily Mail, through Daphne Barak, posted a story yesterday [10 de junho] containing numerous false and defamatory fabrications against my client Britney Spears, which have been attributed to Kevin Federline and his children, in particular involving the use of ‘methamphetamine’,” the letter reads.
“I have also learned, separately, that Ms. Barak has sought contact with Britney under false pretenses, through her minor children, which is exploitative, dangerous and outrageous.”
“Britney is indeed a public figure, but this conduct is out of the ordinary and completely unacceptable. It is inferior, even by today’s standards of ‘journalism’ and the unfair scrutiny she has faced.”
According to the lawyer, Britney’s legal team will seek a retraction of the report.
