After the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, Breno and Caio Cesar record a new project and talk about the phase of rebirth
Twin brothers and country duo, Brenus and Caius Caesar recorded another project in their career. The party it is a milestone in the boys’ career, as it is the beginning of a new beginning after a very delicate period. In 2022, at just 25 years old, Breno he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his testicle, had to undergo surgery to remove it, and began chemotherapy treatment.
In an exclusive interview with Marcia Piovesan Portal, the duo open up about how they’ve dealt with the illness, celebrating their new job and their return to the stage. “The project itself represents overcoming, victory and the way Caio and I live: cheerful, playful, having fun with songs. And it also marks our return to what we love most, which is being on stage”, explained Breno.
When it comes to going back to work after the period that rocked the family, Caius he reveals that they view it as a rebirth. “The last few months have been very intense, delicate, but everything has a reason and, with the grace of God, we are here today with a project that has come as a rebirth and marks the beginning of a new era!”.
Diagnosis
The duo’s new phase comes after the discovery of Breno’s cancer and a delicate cure. In the conversation with the portal, Breno revealed how he’s coping with everything that’s been going on. “I’m doing very well, it was a tense process for the whole family at first, we never imagined going through it… but God is very good, my recovery has been very positive and today I am more motivated than ever. I say that I’m reborn” he said.
Next, recall how he received the diagnosis: “It had a very big impact at home, something we never imagined would happen to any of us one day, also because we have no family history. But it was something that took us to another level in our relationship with God and in the family unity. We remain united in the family and the hand of God acted as the days went by, the fear disappeared and we started to deal with the situation differently, today after the treatment was successful, we understand that certain things happen and give us the opportunity to start off better than we were!”
Twins and tag team partners, the brothers are in everything together and during the most difficult time of their lives, Breno it could not be otherwise. Caius he accompanied his brother’s every step, giving support, but at first it was a huge setback.
“It was a nightmare the first days, I couldn’t believe it, I cried a lot, because I would have done anything to be in his place and prevent him from going through all this. God was very present with me, I always had an incalculable faith, and Breno was always very strong so I knew he would pass and that there was a purpose to it I made it a point to be with him all the time, go to treatment, because his company made me feel good, because the way in which he faced everything was very different, he was positive, courageous, full of faith, where there should have been sadness, he brought joy, the heart and light that Breno has is his greatest quality”, revealed Caius.
New phase, new project: La Fiesta!
Earlier this month, starting the new phase of his career, Brenus and Gaius Caesar recorded their new audiovisual project, The party, with funk artists MC Don Giovanni AND MC Pedrino, and the duo Clayton and Romario. In the production, the brothers mix their favorite musical styles as references, ensuring a cheerful atmosphere.
So Caius said: “We have always been very eclectic, we have country essence in our veins, but nowadays we really like piseiro, national and international pop music, latin music, trap, and we managed to put bits of everything this in LA FIESTA project, both in the arrangements, in the melodies and in the texts”.
And, thinking about the future of music, Breno’s brother praised the artists he’s collaborated with highly, but didn’t highlight plans to end international partnerships. “Certainly in the future we also want to collaborate with international artists. It is a will we have and music gives us this freedom to do many things”he said.
Finally, while the recordings don’t reach the public, Breno and Caio announce that they are preparing a special tour. “We are already working on the new show. We can’t wait to debut this new format, which will also be unprecedented in Brazil. [Caio], Breno, dj, guitarist and accordionist. The idea is to bring LA FIESTA to all of Brazil.”
