FBI: Most Wanted has seen many stars come and go over the years, two of which only left in season 3. Kellan Lutz Left as Kenny Crosby in the fall, while Julian McMahon is heartbreakingly gone when Jess LaCroix was murdered back to early spring. Now the show is sadly losing another star with the departure of Miguel Gomez, but fans still have plenty of reasons to feel confident for season 4 based on some comments from Dylan McDermott.
Miguel Gómez, who has played Special Agent Iván Ortiz since the middle of the second season, will be leaving FBI: Most Wanted for the fact that Term reporting is a creative decision. Ortiz was an important part of the team in season three, and one of the hosts after Jess’s death and Barnes’ temporary departure before Dylan McDermott’s Remy really settled down.
That said, Ortiz was absent for the third season finale in May, with the excuse given on the show that he had to be in Los Angeles to help his ailing father. The final case could have used all hands on the deck, and Dylan McDermott shared with Gossipify. Ortiz’s absence meant they were “a lean team” trying to save the lives not only of their families, but also of many civilians in New York. He joined Hana after returning from his absence and their friendship will be a sad loss to the show, as well as to what it brought to the show as a character.
Of course, The most sought after is largely a procedural show that has survived various starts and character swaps, with Alexa Davalos joining at the start of season three to replace Crosby and McDermott in the second half after a few episodes following Jess’s death. . The rest of the cast would remain unchanged, with the return of McDermott, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Davalos and Roxy Sternberg.
Because the fans are still “safe” for season 4
Roxy Sternberg, who plays Barnes, was absent from the final episodes of the third season (which you can review with a Paramount + subscription ) due to her maternity leave, but if Dylan McDermott’s ideas about how Remy and Barnes interact are realized, fans it may have a lot to look forward to with its dynamics . In fact, speaking to Gossipify for the third season finale in May, McDermott talked about it renewal of two seasons which still leaves the fans something to celebrate. McDermott shared his reaction to the double makeover, as the actor described what the final casting change was:
It was like, ‘Wow!’ You shocked me. David Hudgins, the showrunner, called me and I couldn’t believe it. I certainly had a truck in mind, but a two-year-old truck? I wasn’t even sure it was going to happen in this world, in this market, so I was excited. Also because the crew and the actors give people a kind of security, and it’s very difficult to have security in show business. When that happens, it’s only for the best. We all get together. David was there and we all celebrated. It was a really great day.
While there are changes underway with Ortiz’s impending departure, fans are confident that two more seasons of FBI: Most Wanted are guaranteed. With the return of the series’ other regulars, hopefully the start of season 4 will feel like the series is getting back on track as much as possible. It remains to be seen whether or not Ortiz will appear as a guest star to be canceled or if the other agents will simply explain her absence. Personally, I hope to see Miguel Gómez again The most sought afterbecause Ortiz was a valuable part of the team.
The fourth season of FBI: Most Wanted (opens in a new tab) Sara premiere on CBS in the fall returning to its timeslot on Tuesdays at 10pm to close a night’s FBI buffer stock.
