Rafa Mariano is the daughter of singer Pedro Mariano and the eldest granddaughter of Elis.
Rafa Mariano, one of the singer’s nieces Elis Regina (1945-1982), posted on his Instagram this Monday afternoon, July 3, a video of him singing and playing an excerpt from the song yellowone of the hits of the British band Coldplay.
Rafa is the singer’s daughter Peter Mariano, middle child of Elis, and nephew of pianist and arranger Cesar Camargo Mariano. Rafa, always present at his father’s presentations, had never posted a video in which he showed his vocation for singing so well.
If the teenager’s musical inclination for music is confirmed, he will be the third generation of singers in the family. Besides Pedro, Maria Rita, the youngest of Elis, is also a singer. João Marcello Bôscoli, the eldest son of Elis, is a musician and music producer. Another nephew of Elis, the youngest son of Bôscoli, André, plays the piano.
In her interviews Elis always said that Pedro, who was then about six years old, was the most refined of the family. Pedro launched his artistic career in the early 2000s.
