Listeners noticed the similarity of “Vampire” with songs by other bands
Olivia Rodrigo released their second album, GUTSwhich will be released in September and the release of his new single “vampire“, but some listeners noticed the song’s similarity with that of other artists such as Radiohead, One Direction and John Lennon.
Some Twitter users noted similarities between the song and other songs. One of the tweets that gained wide repercussions read: “I might get canceled for saying this, but ‘Vampire’ Olivia Rodrigo it looks like it was copied from somewhere. I don’t know, the beat, everything feels familiar. I just can’t pinpoint exactly where I’ve heard that from.”

The beginning of “Vampire” has been compared to the beginning of One Direction’s “If I Could Fly”. One of the posts stated: “The way the beginning of ‘Vampire’ sounds like ‘If I Could Fly’ is driving me nuts, haha”
