Responsible for viralizing dance videos to the sound of hits by funky on social networks, such as the recent All right (Dennis and Kevin O Chris), who achieved the Spotify TOP 1Aline says she was enchanted by the tropical sound of orishas to create steps.
“Me and Léo Garcia, with whom I do some projects, wanted to record a choreography that had a ballroom feel and we had already done that research. He showed me ‘ORISHAS’ as soon as it was released and he married our idea perfectly , to have this Latin sound, like salsa, with Brazilian influences. It was the perfect match!”, explained the artist.
On the difference with funk creations, Align complements: “I went out of my comfort zone with funk, but I loved it, because it was a song that gave me the opportunity to bring more of my femininity and delicacy. The advice I give to anyone who wants to learn this choreography is to let go of the thrust of the partner, to be more natural and flow more easily”. The dancer from Rio de Janeiro, who has already worked with Hodari in the music video of the song “SEXO”, another hit by the artist, does not hide that she wants to make everyone dance to the sound of “ORISHAS”: “And how about a challenge ? You can book a lesson!”
hodari he confesses that he wasn’t expecting the video, but that the result couldn’t have been more special: “It was a great surprise, even more because it came out on my birthday. In my opinion, Aline Maia is one of the greatest choreographers in Brazil. Her work for ‘ORISHAS’ was flawless and I am very grateful that Aline has elevated this music with his art. I already want to learn how to do it at shows!”enthusiastically comments the singer and composer of Brasilia.
Released June 15, orishas refers to love and Oxumaré – orixá present in religions of African origin.
