The band Biquini just released their new album June 12thhis twentieth studio effort, with group classics AND B-sides. The album is now available on all digital platforms.
The agenda of June 12th was born from a romantic repertoire for last year’s Valentine’s Day, through an EP with a moving cover, one of the pioneers of the time. “It’s something recurring in Biquini’s discography: after a studio album, where there is always a very intense debate about what we want to record or say, we revisit our work or even someone else’s. 2018, after the album As Voltas Que O Mundo Dá. And it’s happening now with this, after the album Through the Times” – analyze the singer Bruno Gouveia.
Released on the date of the same name, last year, the good result of the EP on platforms translated into a more consistent work, jumping from four to ten tracks. There are eight tracks from the band’s songbook and two already known re-recordings.
The first is Collection (Cassiano, Paulinho Zdan) that the group started singing back in 1998 for a special on MTV, recorded in the first series A small bar and a guitar in 2001, and, in recent months, it has been incorporated into the band’s live repertoire. The other, All the love there is in this life (Cazuza, Frejat) was born from an invitation to a live in honor of badass during the pandemic, in 2020. Bruno chose the song to honor his son Leonardowho had just been born.
“In early 2020, we spoke to producer Paul Ralphes about an acoustic album project, which has always been a gap in our career. The pandemic made us shelve this work and we opted for an authorial album. Happy with the a result of Through the Times, we decided to flirt with this acoustic modality in this more romantic project. As for the acoustic one… it will come out someday”. explain Rabbitwhich produced both re-recordings.
