Paul McCartney scolded Elvis Presley for singing Beatles classic wrong [FLASHBACK]

Elvis Presley used to cover famous songs – but ended up singing a Beatles classic wrong

Elvis Presley used to do covers of famous songs, but ended up singing a classic of the Beatles wrong. In a live performance in 1970, the Rock king sang “yesterday” – and made some changes to the lyrics of the song.

elvis decided to change the final verse of the song. “I heard that elvis sang ‘Yesterday.‘ never heard that one [versão da] music, so I could hear it… Because he got the lyrics wrong,” said Paul McCartney to the The Jonathan Ross Show.

Instead of saying “I did something wrong,” elvis sang “I must have done something wrong.” For McCartneythe change of lyrics represented that the individual did not assume the error completely: “It’s like they weren’t admitting it!”

Even with the error, “yesterday” was not the only song by Beatles sung by elvis. O Rock king often covered “Hey Jude” during his shows in Las Vegas, USA, and even performed “get back,” track from the last album of Fab Four, let it be (1970).
