Lizzo comments on Liam Payne’s statements about One Direction: ‘We know he wasn’t the leader’

After the comments of Liam Payne about the backstage of One Direction, Lizzo opined on the version told by the singer. In an interview with the podcast impulsivein loganPaulthe former member of the 1D claimed to be the motive behind the formation of the boyband.

One Direction Formation

When asked how the band came about, Liam Payne explained that he was on the X Factor two years before the band was created. However, he was eliminated by Simon Cowell as he wanted Payne to complete his education. Payne went on to explain that he became everyone’s “enemy” at the show’s bootcamp. He continued:

Part of the reason One Direction was made was because of Simon’s promise to me that in two years I’ll make it work for you. [Simon] it kind of started with me and then went through the rest.
