The Dark Side of the Moon Redux will be released on October 6th; ‘Money’ is the first single
roger waters re-recorded the famous The Dark Side of the Moonof pink Floyd, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the album. With an addition in the title, The Dark Side of the Moon Redux will be released on the 6th of October. The first single made available was a new version of “Money”.
In place of the vocals of david gilmour, waters sings the song almost as if reciting a poem in whispers. Without the sounds of a cash register or people’s voices in the background, “Money” it looks distorted and takes on a tense and mysterious atmosphere.
The new venture of roger waters can remember the design of Taylor Swift, who have been making so-called “Taylor Versions” in order to have full rights to their works. However, the musician guaranteed in a video on his YouTube channel that the new The Dark Side of the Moon it is a reinterpretation of the disc and does not seek to make a replacement:
The new record is more reflective, I think, and better indicates what the concept of the record was. It’s a reinterpretation and I hope we get more out of it than we did in 1973, when the album came out, because it’s been part of our lives for 50 years, and we’re still not breathing the air.
the last sentence of waters advance what else is coming: “Breathe (In The Air)”. The disc will feature the ten songs from the album, but will also feature an original 13-minute composition.
roger waters lands in Brazil in November, with the farewell tour This is Not a Drill. Known for his audiovisual shows on stage, the artist resumes the discography of pink Floyd in resource-packed performances to wow audiences.
