The award breaks the record for nominees in this edition, with 35 artists competing
MTV released the nominees for the next edition of the next Video Music Awardswhich takes place on September 12, at Prudential Centerin New Jersey. Taylor Swift leads the nominations, running in eight categories. SZA, the second most nominated, competes for six statuettes. doja cat, kim petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo It is Sam Smith are in five categories each, and Shakira It is BLACKPINK It is Diddy were nominated in four categories.
Voting for the award began this Monday, the 7th, and will run until the first day of September, except for the Best New Artist, which remains open until the day of the awards. The ceremony features 15 gender-neutral categories. Nominations for social categories (Group of the Year It is summer song) have not yet been announced.
