There is no location, line-up or even dates set for the Fyre Festival to take place
Six years after what might be called the first edition, the Fyre Festival it returned. In 2017, when the public arrived at the event, they were faced with inadequate conditions and very different from what had been sold. The co-creator, Billy McFarlandwas arrested for fraud, but left prison in 2022. The rapper ja rule received no convictions.
The festival cannot return to the Bahamas, but must take place in the Caribbean Sea. However, there is no place, line-up or even dates set. Even so, the first 100 tickets are already on sale starting at US$499. The next batches range from US$799 to US$7,999.
The lack of water and food, publicity by famous models like Bella Hadidand the confinement on the island where the festival was supposed to take place were problems addressed in a Netflix documentary:
Billy still owes the investors of the event that failed and stated on his Twitter account that he already has a plan to settle the debt: “This is how I’m going to pay it back: I spend half of my time recording series. In the other half, I focus on the that I am really good,” he wrote. “I’m the best at coming up with creative ideas, bringing together talent and delivering the moment”, he added, adding a telephone number to be contacted in cases of business opportunities.

On TikTok, McFarland spoke about the last few years: “It’s been an absolutely wild ride to get here, and it all started during the seven months I spent in solitary confinement. I wrote a 50-page plan on how I would deal with interest and demand from the fyreand now it will take my ability to bring people together around the world and make the impossible happen, like finding the best partners in the world that would allow me to execute the vision of the fyre at the highest level. […] In the meantime, we’ll be doing appearances and events around the world. Folks, this is your chance to get into it. That’s all I’ve been working on. Lets make it happen!”
the creator of Fyre Festival also announced that he is working on a Broadway musical. “Instead of traditional Broadway actors, it’s going to be real performers, combined with the format of Broadway plays — making jokes about me, but also sharing good sides.” Adam Glyn.
