After a long wait, the dreamed days of The Town have arrived. And, as with any festival, there are always reports of people fainting in queues and during shows. Since we know that you are not going to experience moments like this, we have called the nutrition teacher of Anhembi Morumbi, Driele Cavalcanti, to give food advice for those who want to enjoy the days of the show full of energy.
Secrets from the day before
To start the marathon of shows it is necessary to recharge your batteries with a light but complete meal, since the gates will open at 2 pm and the attractions should not end before 2 am. No raw or very heavy foods. If you plan to eat out, it’s best to pay attention to where the food comes from, where you’re going to eat it, and the type of food. A good option is to stay in the comfort zone of the Brazilian dish in the main meals: salads, vegetables, rice, beans, meat and eggs. And, for a snack, choose yogurt, fruit, oats and granola.
The big day has arrived
The day you go to enjoy the show, prefer to do the same: complete light meal, avoiding fries, condiments and a lot of sodium. This way you have less chance of discomfort while tanning. The pro suggests bread with scrambled eggs, a serving of fruit, oatmeal or granola to help keep you energized and fuller longer.
Hydration first
When you’re in line and resting between shows, the secret is to stay hydrated, use and abuse water, natural juices and coconut water. And for snacks, peanuts, dried fruit and protein bars are great, but it’s worth remembering that no rigid material containers or glass and metal objects are allowed, so it’s best to opt for plastic bags to carry snacks.
