Singer congratulated Taylor Swift for reaching the mark of 100 million listeners on Spotify – until then only conquered by himself
The Weeknd celebrated the arrival of Taylor Swift to a milestone hitherto only reached by him: the super exclusive list of artists with more than 100 million listeners on Spotify. On Instagram, the star, who will be performing in Brazil in October, greeted his colleague.
By actors, The Weeknd shared a post with the news accompanied by an emoji with crossed fingers. Then he published a photo of his participation in 1989 tourby Swift in 2015 (via NME).
Announced last August 29th, the achievement places Taylor Swift as the first woman to reach 100 million listeners on Spotify and the second artist to reach the mark, just by Abel Tesfaye – The Weeknd’s real name.

The Weeknd and Taylor Swift in Brazil
Both The Weeknd and Taylor Swift have concerts scheduled for Brazil in 2023.
The Weeknd has two dates scheduled, in Rio de Janeiro, on October 7th (Saturday), at Estádio Nilton Santos Engenhão; and in São Paulo, on October 10 (Tuesday), at Allianz Parque.
Taylor Swift has six shows scheduled in the country, on November 17th, 18th and 19th at the Nilton Santos Engenhão Stadium, in Rio, and on November 24th, 25th and 26th at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.
