Ludmilla performs in the best national show at The Town

Ludmilla stole the show this Thursday afternoon (7/9) at The Town festival, held at the Autódromo de Interlagos, in Sao Paulo. The singer delivered an unforgettable performance with an investment of R$3 million and was applauded as the best national show of the event.

“I present to you the mother of the mafia. Powerful, gangsta, victorious, a very rare Brazilian jewel”, explained Ludmilla, justifying the choice of her conceptual look, inspired by her latest album. She opened the show by emerging from a giant vault, wearing a low-cut swimsuit, to the tune of the hit “Hoje.”

Megastructure

The show featured a team of 30 dancers and a Hollywood director of photography, the Brazilian Camila Cornelsen. Inspired by international artists such as Beyoncé and Rosália, Ludmilla invested in a scheme of 13 additional cameras to capture every detail of the performance.

Sensuality characterized the show, especially in the performance of “Sintomas de Prazer”. The singer’s wife, Brunna Gonçalves, participated in the choreography and sealed the show with a kiss. “A round of applause for Brunna! Hot!”, exclaimed Ludmilla.

Another highlight was the surprise participation of Lulu Santos, with whom Ludmilla sang “Toda Forma de Amor”.

Trajectory and versatility

The singer’s setlist included classics from the album “Numanice” and songs from the recent “Vilã”, as well as a return to her funk roots. The varied repertoire included hits from different genres, from funk to pagode.

The city festival will also feature performances by Joss Stone, Ne-Yo and Maroon 5 on Thursday night. But hardly any foreigner will be able to overcome the strong impression left by Ludmilla’s performance, which took place in the afternoon, and not with the due prominence that it should have had in the first evening of the event. Considered one of the best of her career, the exhibition represents a milestone for the artist, which the event won without valorizing it as it should.
