According to the singer’s team, no shows have been cancelled. New dates in the country have not yet been announced
The singer and composer Steve Patrick Morrissey postponed the shows he would have done in Sao Paulo and Brasilia on September 27 and 30 at Brazil. The decision took place after he was diagnosed with dengue last Sunday, the 10th. The artist was present Mexico on tour to celebrate 40 years of career. The diagnosis was announced on the musician’s official website.
“Morrissey’s arrival in Mexico City resulted in a dengue infection. The virus will take two to three weeks to clear. The tour will resume in Florida,” the statement read.
According to the team, Morrissey has not canceled any performances and will return with shows in Florida, USA. In Brazil the new dates have not yet been announced. “Morrissey hasn’t canceled any shows, but the infection makes the next two weeks impossible,” she added.
Shows scheduled in Lima, Peru (September 14), Bogota, Colombia (September 17), Santiago, Chile (September 21) and Buenos Aires, Argentina (September 23) have also been postponed.
