Absolution was released exactly 20 years ago, on September 15, 2003
To celebrate 20 years since the launch of Absolutionthird studio album that arrived on September 15, 2003, Muse announced deluxe version to celebrate this special date for the British rock band. The information is from NME.
It is worth remembering how the album in question was the first with which the group reached the top of the charts in England. With the LP, they scored hits like “Butterflies And Hurricanes,” “Time Is Running Out,” “Hysteria” It is “Stockholm Syndrome.” The musicians even started to do shows in stadiums and were the main attraction of Glastonburyone of the main festivals in the world.
The new version is called Muse Absolution XX Anniversary and is scheduled for release on November 17, 2023. The deluxe features remastered audio, live versions of the tracks, demos and photos,” as well as “an in-depth interview with the band where they discuss the highs and lows of the recording process recording,” as well as “the social environment in which they found themselves and which influenced the album’s themes.” The producer Rich Costey was also interviewed.
The deluxe box comes in silver and has a four-page bound book with embossed cover details, with remastering on CD and two silver vinyl records. Finally, bonus audio is presented on a second CD and a third transparent vinyl. See images and the official tracklist below:
