That said, Teller explained that he was able to celebrate, but not in the traditional way:

I mean, I think I can really celebrate when we do all these firsts. Because as an actor, that’s really the only time you can experience it with fans. You know, it’s not theater, where it’s live, and we’re not rock stars, we don’t get that kind of live feedback. But I felt it, even during the short time I was away, that I was in the supermarket or something. People are very generous with their kind of praise for [Top Gun: Maverick] so that’s okay.

Some fans may be tempted to think that when an actor has a cool new project, they take some time to celebrate and enjoy the moment. But of course, the routine continues, so the stars can’t always relax and have fun in the clouds. Still, it’s nice to know that the star was able to absorb the love through preview events and sweet interactions with fans.
