Singer Ana Castela, 19, told website G1 how her relationship with singer Gustavo Mioto, 26, interferes with the songs they sing. According to her, the temperature of courtship inspires the most joyful and passionate songs, but arguments also give rise to songs known as suffering. The two have been together since May 2023.
“Of course, when we start dating, we start feeling different emotions and that shows up in the songs. The songs really get more passionate. And when we get sad, the repertoire gets sadder,” Ana said.
Ana revealed to the site that a setback in her relationship inspired one of her biggest hits, Forced single.
“It’s a song I wrote, because I was in a time when I wasn’t talking to Gu. I was forced to stay single. So, it was a way to let go of our feelings. This way, other people can relate and realize it it’s a real feeling,” explained the singer, who co-wrote the song with other composers.
Mioto agrees with his girlfriend. “We embody the character like an actor embodies a film,” the singer told G1.
Last week, Mioto made headlines after he was photographed with Ana on a beach in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro. The singer became the target of comments due to his physical shape. Many were missing their six-packs.
“People saw a photo of me without a shirt and discovered that there are people who don’t have sculpted abs. Crazy!”, wrote the singer on his X (Twitter) account.
