Porridge: Rigor, Ultraje’s bassist, wakes up and opens his eyes

The musician remains hospitalized at the São Luiz do Itaim Hospital, in Sao Paulo, in intensive care; the state of health is considered stable

Mingau, bassist of Ultraje a Rigor, woke up and opened his eyes this Wednesday 20th. The musician is still hospitalized at the São Luiz do Itaim Hospital, in Sao Paulo, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he remains without sedation in a process of withdrawal of mechanical ventilation. The information was released by O Globo.

Since Sunday 17th, when the musician’s sedation was completely removed, the artist’s condition is considered stable. Mingau was shot in the head in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, during a business trip.

The medical team at the Hugo Miranda municipal hospital, where Mingau initially received treatment, said the musician was hospitalized with serious injuries. He was subsequently transferred to São Luiz do Itaim hospital, in São Paulo, on an intensive care plane provided by the air taxi company Air Jet, where he underwent intracranial surgery and a tracheostomy.
