Britânico will share the stage with Ivete in a show in the capital of Sao Paulo; in an interview with ‘Fantástico’, the singer praised Brazil and remembered the good times spent in the country
British singer Rod Stewart, 78 years old, is preparing to come to Brazil. The artist, who says he loves the country, gave an interview to Fantastic last Sunday, the 24th, and spoke about his future collaboration with the Bahians Ivete Sangalo.
“It will be the start of a great friendship and the return of many memories,” he said.
Stewart has been to Brazil five times. This time, on September 29th and 30th, he will visit Ribeirão Preto and the capital Sao Paulo, where he will sing with Ivete. According to English, they will perform duets Da Ya, you think I’m sexy? AND Navigation.
“These are songs that I’ve been singing for more than 20 years for Brazilians and it’s going to be very emotional because I don’t know if I’ll go back to Brazil after this, you know? I’m not getting any younger. So, I want to enjoy every moment of this experience.”
The singer also underlined the affection he has for Brazil, where he has already broken all attendance records.
“The Brazilian public is always wonderful. I also signed up for the book Guinness of records with the largest audience in a free show. I think it was almost 5 million people,” she said referring to the famous Copacabana New Year’s Eve of 1994. “The most impressive thing is that everyone sang in English. This doesn’t happen anywhere else,” she said.
