Michele Morrone takes off in his musical career and declares: ‘I want to go to Brazil’ [ENTREVISTA]

Owner of a sensual voice and an irresistible charisma, Michele Morrone won the hearts of Brazilians by starring in the film 365 days (2020) in the role of the seducer Archbishop Massimo Torricelli. The film has become one of the most talked about topics on social media and photos of morrone have taken over the fan pages on Instagram and Twitter.

However, the Italian star’s contribution went far beyond acting. morrone was also responsible for some of the soundtrack tracks for both the first and second films. “On the first one, I wrote the songs for myself and they were used in the movie because the director loved them. But in the second one, I decided to write something dedicated for the film,” said the actor and singer in an interview with Rolling Stone Brazil.

“It was a great feeling,” he revealed of listening to his own songs on 365 days. “Sometimes when I watch the movies I’ve made, I still can’t believe they’re my songs. I was the main character in the movie and I still had my songs on the soundtrack and I think, in the story, it’s something that not so many people have done. This is an incredible feeling.”

Despite the conversation being with cameras off and on the other side of the world, it was almost palpable the friendliness and happiness of brown in giving interviews about the new phase in his career. “I always wanted to be an actor because I was born with this passion for acting. But over the years, I developed another passion which was music. It appeared a little later, but it did. I think music is the soul of our life,” he said.

Dark Roomfirst disc morronewas released in 2020 and has four tracks on the soundtrack of 365 days: “Hard For Me”, “Feel It”, “Watch Me Burn” and “Dark Room.” The tracks are sensual and, at the same time, very personal. And the next album, which hits platforms this year, seems to follow my line, but in a more mature version.

“The first one, I wasn’t really ready to put out a record, you know? But in the second, I knew what the process of releasing an album was like and it was an amazing journey because I was ready to get into it because it’s so exciting to do. Compared to the first one, I wasn’t ready, I didn’t know anything about it. But in the second, I was much more ready and excited to do it, because I knew what I was going to face,” he recalled.

O [segundo] disc will be more mature, it is a Michele that has grown over the years, I’m more confident about what I like about music in general and it’s going to be a lot more mature than the first one.”

Despite being Italian, the songs of morrone are in English. According to the actor, the choice to sing in another language is to connect with people all over the world. “I feel more confident singing in English, because I always sang in English. And also because my fans are from all over the world and English is the language that connects all countries. I feel more confident singing in English, I wouldn’t know how to sing or write in Italian.”

Among the next career steps, morrone intends to continue with her passions for acting and singing and reveals: “I want to go back to Brazil.” the star of Netflix admitted that he receives thousands of messages from Brazilian fans and one of the first pages in honor of him on Instagram was from Brazil.

“And it’s an amazing relationship that I have with Brazilians, I feel like they’re not just fans, they’re part of my family, you know?,” he revealed. “I want to go to Brazil. I was in the country in 2018 because I was filming a movie before 365 days and it was amazing. Back then, it wasn’t famous, it wasn’t popular, it was much easier to walk on the streets, now it wouldn’t be that easy, but it would be very interesting.”

“Another Day,” last single from morrone arrived on April 27 on major digital platforms. The song is a moving piano ballad, in which the Italian sings about an ideal love in a painful, honest and sensitive way. The singer’s second album is scheduled for release in the second half of 2022.
