Brand creates bag that plays CDs inspired by the discman

Coperni has already innovated in fashion shows with robots and even spray dresses

Remember him? The Discman succeeded the Walkman, a portable device for listening to cassette tapes, and was created in the 1980s, with Sony being the pioneer. Later came the MP3, MP4, Ipods and smartphones, all more compact.

A Coperni takes part in Paris fashion week and presented a reinterpretation of the discman. Without giving many details, the brand reported that the CD player-shaped bag was made with the help of a 3D printer. Furthermore, it can be recharged with a USB-C cable, which therefore indicates that the accessory is functional.

For those interested or curious: it is possible to buy and check prices in reais for other items in the Coperni on the website of Farfetch.

This is not the first time that the brand mixes technology and fashion. At the Fall/Winter 2023 collection show, designers took models accompanied by robots to the catwalk. The performance recalled the episode “Metalhead”, from Black Mirror.

Before that, Bella Hadid underwent an impressive transformation in real time. She started the show in just underwear, until a spray was carefully sprayed over her body, forming a dress.

The Brazilian brand Oil palm was also inspired by the discman to manufacture another accessory for the DendêGame collection. Following the aspects of the device, the bag has a strap that imitates headphones.
