Many critical acclaim Febrile activity received Adam Sandler chosen to deliver another stellar dramatic performance. But Sandler’s NBA co-stars also garnered major accolades. The film’s co-star, Utah jazzman Juancho Hernangomez, got much attention and the same adoration went to Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. Considering the strength of his portrayal of him, you’d think Edwards could be the star of his basketball drama at some point and maybe even team up with his director on this film, Jeremiah Zagar, in the process. But as the director recently revealed, he actually wants to make a movie with another of the film’s basketball stars.
Jeremiah Zagar arrested by Gossipify himself ReelBlend Podcast to discuss his work on the new sports film. While praising the NBA talent who was frontline and center, the director revealed that he would like to work with Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanović in particular once again. While working with the Serbian championship champion, he said:
We had [basketball] courtyard on one of the stages, and at Adam’s I think there was also a courtyard. So he had places to play and he played with the ball players. I mean, they all played together. You can see the video. … If you look up, there’s a video of him, Trae Young and Tobias Harris playing ball. Juancho [Hernangomez] I’d play ball with them. idiot [Marjanović]. I’ve heard Boban is dominant in Sandler’s games, that’s what I’ve heard. This is what I heard. Due to COVID I have not been able to go to any of these things. They are just rumors. I can’t verify anything. … I really want to make a movie with Boban, which has nothing to do with basketball. Maybe like a GGG live action. I talked about doing anything with Boban. I think he should be without basketball. I just think he’s an amazing actor. He is an incredible actor.
That’s a big praise considering the Dallas Mavericks star played a lesser role than her co-stars. But in that sense, it would be great to see Jeremiah Zagar take the rising basketball great man under his wing and turn him into a movie star. And if that happens, the athlete could end up making the performance his post-basketball performance.
Obviously, Boban Marjanović wouldn’t be the first basketball star to jump off the court on screen, because Febrile activity Executive producer LeBron James is proof of this. Veteran athletes John Salley and Rick Fox are also proof that a post-NBA acting career is doable. The road to get there is probably not easy but, with the right guidance, Marjanović could follow suit.
Overall, though, any athlete who has played a major role in the film deserves a lot of credit. And the impressive Rotten Tomatoes soundtrack is a true testament to the hard work they, Jeremiah Zagar, Adam Sandler and their colleagues put into the production. We hope the film will stimulate the acting careers of Boban Marjanović, Juancho Hernangomez and Anthony Edwards. (And that Zagar gets a chance to work with them again at some point.)
