Hospitalized in intensive care at São Luiz hospital, the bassist was hit in the head the day before he turned 56
The musician Rinaldo Amaral, known as Mingau, remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the São Luiz do Itaim Hospital, in Rede D’Or. He is under sedation, as reported in the medical bulletin released by the hospital this Monday 2nd.
Bassist of the band Rigor of indignation, Mingau was shot in the head on the morning of September 3 in Paraty, Rio, while he was in his car, on the eve of his 56th birthday.
We also read in the bulletin that “to facilitate respiratory ventilation, a rotation has been started in the use of a high-flow catheter coupled with a tracheotomy and a bipap (compressor that works by “imitating” the patient’s breathing pattern). The patient has been receiving physiotherapy support and the clinical condition is considered stable.”
Mingau has been in Ultraje a Rigor since 1999. He was taken to the Hugo Miranda municipal hospital, but a few hours later he was transferred by helicopter to Sao Paulo, where he underwent a tracheotomy.
Since then his condition has worsened: on the 9th, the medical team began to reduce the sedation and, almost a month after the injection, he opened his eyes. However, she still cannot interact with the environment.
