The worst celebrity Graham Norton interviewed

With several years of experience as an interviewer and presenter, Graham Norton runs the talk show The Graham Norton Showin which he talks to around four artists at once, since 2007. In fact, during that time he even had some bad conversations with certain famous people.

In England, the program is broadcast on Fridays, but there is no programming in Brazil. In 2022, during an event to promote the book Forever Home (via Evening Standard), Norton defined Harvey Weinsteinformer producer of Hollywood which received complaints from dozens of women about sexual harassment and abuse, such as the “least favorite” guest who appeared on the talk show.

“I often talk about who my least favorite guest was, but now, someone reminded me, I have a really good answer for that. It’s Harvey Weinstein,” he stated. “He’s in prison, so he gets the award for worst guest ever.”

Right away, Graham Norton remembered how Weinstein got in touch to participate in the The Graham Norton Show before appearing as an interviewee in 2015: “He emailed me something really cool, something complimentary. And then he decided he wanted to be on the show because it was going to promote something.”

And it was a packed show [na agenda], so I responded by saying, ‘Oh, thank you very much, but the program is full.’ He emailed back: ‘What if I blah blah blah?’ I replied again: ‘No, the show is full, blah blah.’

“And he emailed back, ‘But I think…’ and I just had to go to my booker and say, ‘Can you please handle this?’ At the time, I thought that kind of attitude would be ‘oh no, I’ll keep going,’ that’s what makes you a really good producer.”

But of course, now that we know what we know, that’s what makes him a predator. It was that weird, tunnel vision kind of thing. It was kind of scary in retrospect, because I was laughing at those emails. But you realize, oh my God, this is a vision of what that man is like.
